If we didn't, then striving over the Land of Israel (biblically the Land of Canaan) would be rational; i.e., if Jesus or Mohammad excluded Moses as a true prophet, we would have cause for argument. But we ALL accept Moses, so why aren't we on the same page? This is something to further explore. There's a tiny sliver of earth which God gave to the children of Jacob (the Jews) and this concept finds harmony in the Books of Christianity and Islam. We sometimes like to ignore what our own books say and try to take a political approach. Political approaches, hard as we all may try, are doomed from the outset because this is Holy Land and a religious approach will ultimately be the only workable option.
