Parliament of World Religions

August 2, 2008

One of the largest global inter-faith events is the Parliament of World Religions, first started nearly a 100 years ago and re-kindled in the 90s. This goes way beyond Jews-Christians-Muslims, (although including them), and is a superb opportunity for people of many faiths to learn and dialogue. The next parliament is in Melbourne 2009. Having been to a recent PWR advisory council meeting I can say there are strong Jewish, Muslim and Christian voices involved, as well as Sikhs, Buddhists and others. Its anticipated that around 10,000 people will attend. Check out:
